How to play Casino Hold’em

Casino Hold’em game is a poker variant similar to Texas Hold’em. The main difference is that in Casino Hold’em you do not play against other players, but only against the dealer.

The goal of Casino Hold’em is to beat the dealer’s hand. Each round starts with an Ante bet. You receive two face-up cards, the dealer receives two hidden cards, and three community “flop” cards are dealt face up. After reviewing your two cards and the three flop cards, you evaluate your hand and choose one of the following options:

• Fold — you lose your Ante bet and the game ends.
• Call — you continue by placing an additional Call bet (equal to twice the Ante bet), and two more community cards are dealt.

When all five community cards are on the table, the dealer’s cards are revealed. Your best five-card hand is formed from any combination of your two cards and the five community cards. The hands are compared, and the higher hand wins.

You can also place an additional side bet called the AA bonus bet. This bonus bet considers only your two cards and the first three community cards. It is independent of the main game result. You might lose the main game but still win the bonus bet, or vice versa. The AA bonus bet pays if you achieve a pair of aces or a better hand.

The dealer qualifies with a hand of at least a pair of 4s. If the dealer does not qualify, the Ante bet is paid according to the Ante paytable and the Call bet is returned. If the dealer qualifies and your hand is better, the Ante bet is paid according to the Ante paytable and the Call bet pays 1:1. If the dealer qualifies and your hand is equal to the dealer’s, all bets push. If the dealer qualifies and the dealer’s hand is better, you lose all bets.

Provably Fair

When you open the game page, the server generates a secret and a seed and reveals their hash (using the HMAC SHA256 algorithm). The server secret represents a randomly shuffled card deck. The server seed is a cryptographically secure random alphanumeric string. The hash of these two strings ensures that the initial card deck cannot be altered after you choose your bet amount. After the game is finished, the server secret and server seed are revealed so you can recalculate and verify the hash yourself.

During gameplay, you can optionally provide a custom client seed (if it is not specified, a random value is automatically generated by your browser). The server then calculates another hash using the server secret, server seed and client seed. The last 5 characters of this hash (a hexadecimal value) are converted to an integer. This number is divided by 52 (the number of cards in the deck), and the remainder determines how many cards (N) are cut from the top to the bottom of the deck. Because the client seed cannot be predicted by the server, the number of cards cut from the initial deck is completely random, so you can be confident that the game result is provably fair.
