Ukraine, Zaporozhye region. February 2022. Firth of Firth between the Azov Sea and the Molochny Liman. The ice hole is a natural channel channel that has been connecting the waters of the Azov Sea and the Molochny estuary for a long time. Over the years, this channel was covered with sand and shallowed. The disappearance of the scour has had an extremely negative impact on the Molochny estuary. It has significantly shallowed. Also, fish which had been spawning in the warm waters of the estuary for a long time stopped entering the Molochny estuary. Thanks to the work on deepening and strengthening of the scour, the ecological problem of the Molochny estuary has been solved. This is how the scour looks now.
