WordPress Hotel Booking Reviews is an extension for the MotoPress Property Rental WordPress plugin .

Property reviews matter. Get reviews and star ratings from past guests, earn trust of prospective clients by letting them see real reviews from others.

This add-on automatically creates a simple “Write a review” feedback form and a five-star rating system for all accommodation on your website (known as “Accommodation types”). Since this extension is created through the native WordPress comment system, you’ll find it easy to manage reviews and enhance the functionality of your reviews system.

Five-star WordPress Rating System

Guest feedback will be incorporated into a five-star rating system. It’ll be easy for users to give your property up to five starts by each evaluation parameter (pre-defined via the admin dashboard) as well as leave written reviews. With each new grade, the average property rating is recalculated automatically.

Prospects can see the aggregate property rating as well as rating and review from every past guest.

Unlimited Property Rating Criteria

Add any number of the property evaluation criteria: cleanliness, value for money, services, location, etc. Guests will need to go through all of them before submitting a review.

For multilingual websites it’ll be easy to translate these criteria with any dedicated plugin since they are created with the native WordPress taxonomy categorization.

Embed Reviews into Pages, Posts and Widgets

Already posted reviews can be showcased on any other page, a post of widget zone of your WordPress theme. To tailor reviews appearance in a widget, you’ll work via a user-friendly interface. You can display the rating details of a current property as well as of an admin selected property in the widget.

To customize the look of your reviews on the pages and posts, you are provided with a shortcode with extensive parameters (set the number of columns, how many reviews to show, display or hide specific info, etc.).

We implemented the rating & review system by means of the native WordPress comments to give you more powerful, flexible and mature way to manage reviews. The key benefits are:

• As you would normally do with comments, you can approve, delete, reply and even edit property reviews via the WordPress comments.
• Use extensive WordPress Discussion settings to set up the needed behavior for the accommodation reviews.
• Since all reviews are literally comments with the enhanced functionality, they’ll remain intact even if you deactivate the add-on (but without star ratings).

Connect WordPress Comment Plugins

If you want to give users extra options to make their reviews more informative, involve better guest interaction or simply hook up an anti-spam mechanism like Akismet, you can do that with third-party WordPress comments plugins.

Support for Your Theme Styling

The add-on will integrate with the default WordPress Comments output as much as possible. If your theme has styling applied for comments, then property reviews will look very much like your comments.

1. Install and activate the add-on: Reviews-related functionality will be automatically added to the “Accommodation types” pages.

Please note

• At the moment, this add-on doesn’t support reviews only by real past guests, so anybody can leave a review. You’ll need to moderate reviews via the WordPress comments.
• For the star rating system to work, you need to add at least one rating criterion. Otherwise, only written reviews will be displayed.
• To approve, unapprove or edit reviews, you should hold the “Admin” user role.
• Currently, the system cannot produce the average ratings of all property / hotel accommodation types; you can display the average rating based on reviews provided for individual “Accommodation types” only.
